JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is seeking a talented Merchandiser to take accountability Retail Merchandising activities across EMEIA for their division. In this role, you will lead by example, becoming a true ambassador for Burberry, and fostering a culture of innovation, simplicity, and collaboration while driving excellence throughout your division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Market Activities
  • Perform hindsight analysis on option performance and productivity to determine future collection buys.


Market Collection & Buy Analysis
  • Offer strategic guidance on option adoption and distribution to ensure sufficient COTB, aligning with assortment and divisional goals.
  • Partner with the Category Manager to develop Market Open to Buy templates based on finalized assortments, including Core investment guidance and Runway mix, while evaluating Regional Buys in Assortment and Core Alignment Reviews.


In-Season Trading
  • Conduct quarterly product training and collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, VM, and Client Engagement, to implement initiatives that enhance sales performance.
  • Optimise inventory efficiency by providing regular stock rebalance recommendations and effectively managing reorders, pull-forwards, and deliveries in partnership with the supply chain.
  • Analyse customer and competitor insights while overseeing product lifecycle management and delist proposals, ensuring alignment with Collection Merchants and Category Managers to maximise sales revenue.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Proven expertise in Retail Merchandising within contemporary and luxury brands, complemented by strong analytical skills and extensive product knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of the competitor landscape, with a customer-oriented approach to overcoming business challenges.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability while making strategic decisions to drive product and business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively across all organisational levels and cultures, alongside advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. SAP would be advantageous.
