About the job:
Ashcorp has embarked on an exciting search for a dynamic and driven individual to join a leading international apparel brand based in London as their new Head of e-commerce.

The head of e-commerce will report to the CEO and be responsible for leading the omnichannel strategy to unify the customer journey across physical stores and digital sales channels.

As the head of e-commerce, you will play a crucial role in helping our businesses optimize our online presence, increase revenue, and improve customer experiences across digital platforms. You will lead the digital strategy and execution for the company’s e-commerce operations and be responsible for overseeing the development, optimization, and scaling of digital channels, ensuring the business meets its growth targets.
Responsibilities:
E-commerce Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to drive traffic, conversion, and revenue growth.
- Lead efforts to enhance the online shopping experience, optimizing for UX/UI, personalization, and mobile-first design.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
- Oversee e-commerce platform performance, ensuring uptime, speed, and security.
- Lead A/B testing and other data-driven initiatives to continuously improve the e-commerce platform.
- Manage e-commerce partnerships, including payment processors, logistics, and fulfillment services.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
- Develop and execute data-driven strategies to increase conversion rates, reduce cart abandonment, and improve average order value (AOV).
- Utilise analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) to monitor site performance and identify bottlenecks or drop-off points in the sales funnel.
- Recommend changes to landing pages, checkout processes, and product displays to enhance conversion rates.
Digital Marketing & SEO:
- Advise on and develop digital marketing strategies, including search engine optimization (SEO), paid search (PPC), social media, and email marketing campaigns.
- Ensure alignment between e-commerce platforms and marketing strategies to drive traffic, improve acquisition costs, and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Conduct competitive analysis and keyword research to improve organic rankings and search visibility.
Platform Selection & Implementation:
- Guides in selecting and implementing the right e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, etc.) based on the business needs.
- Offer solutions on e-commerce tools and technologies, including payment gateways, shipping solutions, and CRM systems.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of e-commerce platforms.
Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Provide detailed reporting on e-commerce performance, key metrics, and ROI analysis.
- Develop custom dashboards for tracking KPIs such as traffic, conversion rates, revenue, customer lifetime value (CLV), and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
- Present insights and recommendations to clients based on real-time data and market trends.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor teams in product management, e-commerce operations, and UX design.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, and technology teams) to drive alignment across the company.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in product management, e-commerce, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of launching successful products and driving e-commerce growth.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, etc.), digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of the luxury goods or retail space (preferred but not required).
