THIS ROLE IS BASED IN THE LONDON OFFICE. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A VALID RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Print Production Designer to join our dynamic print team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process from sampling to final production, ensuring that our designs are executed to the highest standards. Working closely with the production and product development teams, you will help bring our creative concepts to life, ensuring that our brand’s signature codes and artwork quality are maintained throughout.

Reports to: Senior Print Designer

Collaborates with: Production, Product Development, Lead Creatives, Print Team, and other departments

The role

  • Manage the print production process: Ensure that all necessary information is gathered from various departments before final artworks are approved for production.
  • Review and refine samples: Attend fittings and review samples, ensuring any requested amendments from the Art/Creative Director are accurately implemented in the final product.
  • Strike-offs and pre-production samples: Review and assess strike-offs and pre-production samples to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Rework and prepare artwork for print: Adapt and adjust digital or painted artworks for print, including creating updated mockups and incorporating designs into patterns and consumption plans.
  • Ensure design alignment with brand codes: Place prints within the pattern layouts in an aesthetically pleasing way, adhering to the brand’s key design principles, and make necessary adjustments for seam placements.
  • Efficiencies in print files: Create efficient consumption files for fabrications and printed products to ensure minimal waste in the production process.
  • Optimise artwork for production: Ensure that all artworks are optimized for grading and ready for seamless handover to the production team.
  • Organise and maintain artwork files: Keep meticulous records of all print designs, ensuring that updated artworks are efficiently archived and accessible.

The candidate

  • Minimum of 3 years working as a print designer in high-end fashion
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern design, and fabric types.
  • Experience in creating and managing complex files that can be seamlessly passed between teams.
  • Expertise in placement prints and art working for a variety of fabrications.
  • Ability to work across multiple product categories, including ready-to-wear, jersey, trims, and more.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with excellent time management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design quality.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A natural team player who thrives in a creative, collaborative setting.
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related field.
