Role overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our New York store team. The successful candidate will embody the brand’s ethos, drive store performance, and ensure that all customers receive an exceptional luxury shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
As the Store Manager, you will be the main ambassador for the Perfect Moment brand, leading the store team and ensuring its success. Your key duties include:
- Brand Representation: Act as the face of Perfect Moment, representing and promoting the brand’s values and identity.
- Store Management: Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring its smooth running, and identifying opportunities for growth, client development, and service initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, motivate, and coach a high-performing team, ensuring brand standards and exceptional customer service are delivered consistently.
- KPI Achievement: Drive the team to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets through effective strategies and proactive problem-solving.
- Customer Experience: Provide an outstanding and first-class experience to all customers, ensuring high conversion rates and building client loyalty.
- Sales Leadership: Take an active role on the shop floor, leading by example and managing client relationships directly.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure the store adheres to Perfect Moment’s visual merchandising guidelines and maintains brand consistency.
- Budget Management: Manage controllable costs within budget, ensuring a focus on profit and margin.
- Product Knowledge: Attend product launches, cascading relevant information to your team, and ensure comprehensive brand training is delivered.
- Staff Development: Conduct appraisals and reviews, addressing performance issues if required.
- Communication: Liaise regularly with Perfect Moment Head Office to ensure alignment with brand strategies and business objectives.
- Stock Management: Oversee stock control procedures and manage stock takes with the assistance of the store team.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the store complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with Leap and Perfect Moment head office teams, attending weekly meetings and maintaining a valuable partnership.
- Event & Staff Planning: Manage staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods and special events.
- Business Growth: Identify and recommend partnerships and events that can drive future growth and expand the stores network. Hosting clienteling events throughout the season.
You may be required to take on additional responsibilities as the store’s needs evolve, so a flexible and proactive approach to management is essential.
Key Skills and Profile
- Luxury Retail Experience: Proven management experience within the luxury fashion retail sector is essential.
- Target-Oriented: Demonstrable experience in meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Local Network: A strong existing client base and network within the local area would be highly beneficial.
- Professionalism: A polished and professional appearance and demeanour at all times.
- Organisational Skills: Highly organised, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Leadership & Motivation: A passionate and energetic leader, capable of inspiring both colleagues and customers.
- Independent Decision-Making: Confident in making commercial decisions and solving problems independently.
- Problem-Solving: Comfortable handling difficult situations and resolving them with ease.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of luxury products, business trends, and competitor analysis, with a keen understanding of customer demographics and needs.
- Vibrant Personality: An energetic, confident, and charismatic leader with the drive to motivate and guide the team towards success.
