Job Description

As a PR Lead at Taylor / Burke Communications, you will play a crucial role in serving as the client lead, overseeing, managing and executing strategic communication plans for our diverse portfolio of clients. This position is ideal for a dynamic and results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as client lead (approximately 4 – 5 clients) to develop, lead, and manage multifaceted communication strategies (seasonal and annual) across a variety of clients and industries
  • As client lead, build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their objectives are met by managing day-to-day responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of PR campaigns that enhance brand visibility and media presence
  • Identify, pitch and secure feature stories, editorial opportunities ranging from traditional product placements to executive profiles to new media opportunities
  • Manage press interviews, client meetings, press previews and events
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify ideas as well as challenges
  • Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports, offering insights and strategic recommendations for future campaigns
  • Adept at media relations, knowing how to identify media targets pitch and secure stories
  • Experience with asset management, including content creation and multi-media press kits
  • Experience on new business and proposal development is a plus. Will be asked to contribute to new business strategy develop and presentations on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in a PR or communications role, preferably within an agency setting Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful PR strategies
  • Strong network of media contacts and a proven track record of securing editorial coverage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
  • Proficient as serving as a mentor and leader to team members
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
