The world's fastest-growing running brand is looking for a dynamic and highly analytical Regional Cost Controller to join its fast-paced EMEA finance team. Leveraging your expertise in cost management and exceptional analytical abilities, you will lead cost control initiatives across the region, with a particular focus on warehouse and logistics management. Your role will be pivotal in influencing decision making through insight and scenario planning. Key to your success in this role is a collaborative and curious mindset, a drive to contribute to Ons growth journey, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to a broad range of stakeholders.
Your Mission
- Lead cost management processes across the region, including budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational performance, providing detailed insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and control costs across key areas, identifying regions for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Drive the annual budget process, ensuring that cost targets are realistic and aligned with company strategy.
- Variance Analysis: Track and report on actual vs. budgeted / forecasted costs, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions when needed.
- Support business units with scenario planning and financial modeling to evaluate cost structures and identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain robust cost tracking systems and processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial performance.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, providing clear insights into cost performance and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, maintaining a high standard of financial discipline.
Your Story
- Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in controlling, cost management, or FP&A in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, ideally with focus on warehouse controlling is preferred. Experience in sport or consumer goods industry is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced certifications are an advantage.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights for cost optimization.
- Tools & Systems: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with financial planning and analysis tools such as Anaplan or Power BI is a plus.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate financial data clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Other languages are a plus.
